On June 26th, the Edmonton Humane Society had their 30th anniversary of Pets in Park at Hawrelak Park in Edmonton. After almost 3 years, it was great to once again be amongst so many dogs, ferrets and other pets and to enjoy all the fun activities this event had to offer. There was the canine carnival, dog agility, talent show, doggy dock dive and the popular Dachshund dash, amongst other activities. And to top it off, we had a beautiful sunny day to enjoy it all.
So on Sunday morning, I decided to make my way down to the park with my camera to take photos of as many pooches as I could. I got to meet so many wonderful people and their amazing pets. In return for getting lots of love and licks from the dogs, and getting to take their photo, each pet owner was given digital images at no charge. Thanks to those who offered a donation, but I couldn't possibly take any money for the privilege of photographing such adorable pooches.
Thanks to everyone who said yes to a pet photo and thank you all for coming out and supporting the Edmonton Humane Society on the 30th anniversary of Pets in the Park! We hope to see you again next year!
